Description
The FAB-2SP Friability Tester is the latest device to test the mechanical strength of tablets, meeting all current USP and BP requirements. The FAB-2SP designed for use with both friability and abrasion drums. The FAB-2SP has the option to use one or two drums at a time. The speed of the rotation is variable for 20 – 70 RPM as per user selection.
In use, the operator loads the tablets into the drum and places it on the drive shaft. The test time or the number of rotations can be selected and easily entered via the keypad. The inputted data, rotation, or time countdown indicates on the LCD. The FAB-2SP Friability Tester comes with a printer that displays the data inputted. The printer delivers all the test data and calculations at the end of the test.
The drums are constructed from Plexiglas and separated into two parts, the drum body, and the drum cover. The cover is easily removed to clean the inside of the drums or to facilitate the filling and discharging of the samples. The FAB-2SP is made of high-quality metal with an acid resistant finish and meets all GLP requirements.
