DISINTEGRATION APPARATUS

The DST-3C automated disintegration tester is the latest device specifically designed to test and measure the disintegration time threshold for solid dosage medication. It is fully compliant with USP Regulation. The system controls up to three individual stations. The dip speed for each basket assembly can be set between 30-90 dips per minute(DPM)up to 999 minutes. This unique design is suitable for Research and Development as well as Quality Control. The DST-3C employs a programmable microprocessor controller to regulate the dip speed and water temperature. With a built-in Thermal Sensor Switch, the heating process stops at 45℃ to prevent over-heating. Each water tank holds three beakers. The single in-line layout allows maximum visual observation and ease of operation.

The optional digital camera + DVR system will allow monitoring and recording of the physical disintegration process during the testing period. The camera lenses are mounted directly under the beakers, and the LED provides extra lighting to ensure better images. The DVR will record all of the tablets’ physical disintegration images non-stop for up to sixty days.

With its advanced features, it is simple to set up and operate. The operator inputs the length of the run, loads the tablets, and presses the Start button. A series of beeps are emitted as an alert one minute before the test ends. After the run, the basket assemblies automatically are lifted out of the beakers to home(highest) position for easy viewing.

Basket and media height adjustment are simple with the provided kit. The DST-3C main lift units are composed of high-quality metal with an acid resistant finish. All operation parameters meet or exceed USP specifications.
